Explain how to graph the ordered pair (-2,+3).
Using a coordinate plane, begin at point (0,0) where the X and Y axises intersect. Negative numbers on the X-axis are located on the left side of the plane, and since X is first in the ordered pair, move left 2 spaces along the X-axis. From there, move up three spaces along the Y-axis since positive numbers are on the upper end of the Y-axis. The end position is the ordered pair that is indicated by the presence of a point.
