    If you broke a piece of matter into its smallest components you would be left with? A) Molecules B) Cells C) Protons D) Atoms

    Let's break it down. We know that molecules are TWO AND MORE ATOMS so molecules is out. Cells are made up of atoms so cell could be the answer. Protons are made out of atoms which leaves D out. So we have proton and cells. Cells are made up of atoms BUT inside the atoms are protons. So answer is C) proton
