    Which statement best describes how the carbon atom’s bonding tendencies lead to the formation of macromolecules? It forms very short simple molecules that simplify the formation of life’s macromolecules It forms hydrogen bonds enabling it to link into large complex structures. It tends to link to other carbons to form large, complex chains, branched chains, and rings. It links with water because water holds the macromolecules together making them more complex.
