Why is there variation in new organisms formed…

    Why is there variation in new organisms formed from the joining of two reproductive cells

    This is because when the two cells combine in fertilisation. Half of one parents DNA and half of the other's are combined. Then only some genes become active in the new organism. This means that the new organism will be a variation from both of its parents!
